Round 1 of the Greater Shepparton City Council’s Community Grants are now open for 2019 with various categories and levels of funding available for sporting clubs & organisations in the Greater Shepparton area.

The grants, which are open until August 5, feature 7 different categories, including ‘Our Sporting Future’, ‘Minor & Major Events’ and ‘Community Matching Grants’ just to name a few.

Local Council grants are a great option for many sporting clubs, as the pool of entrants is obviously far smaller than state or national scale opportunities, so sporting organisations are being strongly encouraged to consider applying for any relevant categories that fit a particular need or project at their club and give themselves a better than average chance at scoring some financial support.

To top it off, Council are holding a Grant Information Session, where you can speak directly to representatives from Council to learn more about the details of the grants, what you may need to provide, and even some pointers/advice on any draft content you may have created by then. This session is taking place on Monday July 22 at 5:30pm at Shepparton Council HQ (90 Welsford St, Shepparton) – RSVP is requested on the grants page.

All details about the grant categories, how to apply, the information session and important dates/times can be found on Council’s Grants page HERE
