The key objectives of the Regional Sport Partnership include:

These opportunities will enable children and young people to be active, move more and connect with others in sport clubs/facilities, schools, the natural environment or other community spaces,
- To improve the health and wellbeing of rural and regional children and young people by working with partners to:
- strengthen and improve local and/or systemic enablers that support involvement and participation in sport, active recreation and play; and
- remove, mitigate or reduce the impact of local and/or systemic barriers that limit involvement and participation in sport, active recreation and play.
- To support local planning with Fast Track Councils involved in VicHealth’s Local Government Partnership, which seeks to address local factors that directly affect the daily lives of children and young people and their opportunities for health and wellbeing.
