Community Sport and Active Recreation organisations that had events cancelled due to the August lockdown in Victoria can now apply for funding with the Sporting Club Grants Program closing date extended to 27 August 2021.

The Program provides grants for clubs and community organisations that had events cancelled due to the recent July lockdown from 11:59pm on Thursday 15 July to 27 July 2021 and is being extended to cover the August lockdown in Victoria from 8pm on Thursday 5 August to 11.59pm on 12 August 2021.


Organisations are eligible to apply regardless of whether they received funding in the previous round.

This funding is only available to organisations that are not eligible to seek funding support from the Business Costs Assistance Program

Available Grants/Funding Categories

Grants of $2,000 are available to go towards irrecoverable costs due to cancelled events including cancellation fees for facilities, coaches and officials, as well as loss of perishable goods and booking fees.
