Valley Sport is proud to announce the launch of Level Up – a new online platform supporting community sport clubs to meet their child safe compliance requirements with confidence.
Level Up is a practical and accessible tool that helps clubs, coaches, and volunteers build safer, more inclusive sporting environments for children and young people. The platform has been co-created by industry-leading experts, child safeguarding specialist Sam Dellamarta and inclusive sport specialist Michael Woods, to ensure it reflects best practice and real-world applicability.
With thanks to support from Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Together More Active and Sustainable Volunteer Workforce Programs, Valley Sport is rolling out the platform to all clubs across Moira, Mitchell, Murrindindi, Benalla, Strathbogie, Mansfield, and Greater Shepparton shires from Monday 4 August.
“In the lead-up to International Safe Sport Day on 8 August, there’s no better time to be supporting clubs to embed child safe practices,” said Megan Carr, Executive Officer of Valley Sport. “Child safety is a shared responsibility, and Level Up gives clubs the tools to embed good practices into their everyday operations. We’re proud to be walking alongside clubs as they build confidence, understanding, and stronger systems.”
Through this rollout, Valley Sport will:
- Support access to the Level Up platform
- Support clubs to work through the platform at their own pace
Level Up features include:
- Step-by-step guidance aligned with the Victorian Child Safe Standards
- Interactive education modules for coaches and volunteers
- Editable policies, templates, and practical resources
- A recognition system to acknowledge clubs taking proactive steps
Designed specifically for community sport, Level Up breaks down complex compliance requirements into manageable, achievable actions—especially valuable for regional and volunteer-led clubs.
