
The Victorian Government has helped more than 860 young people become swim teachers through the Youth Aquatic Accreditation Program. The Program has been extended to 31 May 2024 –helping young people pursue or continue aquatic career opportunities.
The Program now meets the cost of reimbursement (since 12 August 2022) and future swim teacher training. Young people aged between 16 and 25 years are now eligible, and there’s opportunities to learn to teach infants, plus people with a disability how to swim.
Promote development of infants and toddlers in an aquatic environment up to $285 per person
Renewal of Swimming and Water Safety Teacher –up to $195 per person
Assist participants with a disability during aquatic activities –up to $285 per person.
Applications are accepted from Victorian councils and learn to swim schools directly operating in public, private or school facilities in Victoria on behalf of prospective swim teachers.
