Valley Sport Workshop Terms and Conditions
Valley Sport are committed to supporting and growing sport and recreation in the Goulburn Valley. Part of our commitment is delivering a number of educational courses for local clubs and their members. To ensure the highest quality of training, Valley Sport may charge a fee for some of the courses that are delivered. Any course, workshop or training session which requires a fee will be subject to the below terms and conditions.
Payment
All Valley Sport–delivered workshops and courses require online registration and payment via the TryBooking system. Participants must have access to a valid credit or debit card to successfully complete their registration. It is the participant’s responsibility to organise payment and register themselves.
Health Requirements
Some workshops and courses may involve physical activity (e.g. First Aid, CPR, or Sports Trainer training). Participants must be physically capable of completing all required practical tasks, including CPR where applicable.
Participants are responsible for notifying Valley Sport prior to the course date of any medical or health conditions that may restrict their participation. This allows appropriate modifications to be made where possible to support safe and inclusive participation.
Technology Requirements
Some courses require the completion of mandatory online pre-course learning. Participants must have access to an internet-connected device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) to complete any required online components prior to attending face-to-face training.
Failure to complete mandatory pre-course learning may result in the participant being unable to complete the course, with no refund provided.
Certification and Assessment
Issuing of a statement of attainment or certificate is subject to the participant successfully completing all required assessments and meeting competency standards as determined by the training provider.
Attendance alone does not guarantee certification.
Cancellation of a Course by Valley Sport (Minimum Numbers)
Valley Sport reserves the right to cancel or postpone workshops and courses if minimum registration numbers are not met or due to unforeseen circumstances.
A decision will be made no later than 5:00pm, three (3) days prior to the scheduled course date, and participants will be notified as soon as practicable. If a course is cancelled by Valley Sport, all registered participants will receive a full refund.
Cancellation of Attendance by a Participant
Valley Sport understands that circumstances may change and participants may no longer be able to attend a registered workshop or course.
- Participants who provide four (4) days (96 hours) or more notice prior to the course start date will receive a refund of their course booking, less a $10 administration fee.
- Participants who provide less than 96 hours’ notice, or who fail to attend, will forfeit the full course cost.
Notifying Valley Sport of a Booking Cancellation
To cancel a booking, participants must notify Valley Sport by either:
- Phoning the Valley Sport Office on (03) 5831 8456 and speaking with a staff member, or
- Emailing clubsupport@valleysport.net.au to confirm withdrawal from the course.
Disability and Learning Support
Some Valley Sport workshops and courses include theoretical and practical assessments required to gain accreditation. Participants are required to notify Valley Sport prior to the course date of any disability or learning difficulty that may impact their learning or participation.
Valley Sport is committed to inclusive participation and will work with participants to provide reasonable adjustments or modified learning options where possible.
Photography and Media
Valley Sport may take photographs or videos during workshops and courses for promotional, reporting, or educational purposes. By participating, attendees consent to the use of this material unless they advise Valley Sport in writing prior to the course.
By enrolling in a Valley Sport delivered course you agree to the above Terms and Conditions.
