• Do other people within your club turn to you for advice and guidance?
  • Do you want to help people feel better, but sometimes don’t know what to say?
  • Do you get worried you might say the ‘wrong’ thing, or make things worse?
  • Do you want to feel more confident when supporting others?

Valley Sport have identified Accidental Counsellor training as a valuable way to teach club members how to effectively deal with difficult conversations and support others.

The accidental counsellor workshop provides the techniques and strategies to enable participants to successfully support those who are distressed, upset or generally requiring emotional support.

Your sporting club plays an important role in connecting people to their community, so it is important that the environment is safe, supportive and welcoming.

The workshop is aimed at Committee Members, Volunteers, Coaches and Club Members and is being subsidised by Valley Sport.
